First Steps to Freebirth
Your journey to freebirth and how to prepare for the birth that feels right for YOU.
First Steps to Freebirth is a pre-recorded course with freebirth mentor Victoria Wilbraham.
"I think one of my favourite aspects of the course was the demystifying of wild pregnancy and freebirth. As much as I love the idea of spending more time wandering barefoot in the moonlight, I have chosen to freebirth largely out of practicality. I feel it is the safest choice for me and my family."
First Steps to Freebirth is a self-paced course with 10 pre-recorded modules. Once you've enrolled, you will have access to the pre-recorded modules, with an accompanying workbook to help you make notes and reflect on how you and your partner are feeling.
10 modules of pre-recorded video content, full access from sign-up.
Accompanied by a course workbook for ongoing notes, reflection and integration.

How to handle fear.
Most importantly: Why?
Whatever it is; I can relate!
I felt so conflicted and confused about freebirth when I started to explore it, but it's only by leaning into those questions, those curious feelings, that we can reveal the real answers we're looking for.
By leaning into that curious feeling sooner rather than later you will gain incredibly valuable insights and tools as you prepare for birth. This course will show you the steps you can take if you're interested in exploring Freebirth.
Victoria Wilbraham is a wife and mother to two children: a little boy and even littler girl. Over the years Victoria has worked in the world of art and tattooing before her own experience of freebirthing changed everything.
Victoria shifted the focus of her work towards freebirth, working with women and partners, helping them understand what felt right for them, so that they could step into total responsibility for their births. She realised that her grounded approach to freebirth was appreciated by many who found freebirth to be something they couldn't relate to. The popular podcast 'Normal Boring Freebirth' was created to help create space for women who felt less 'earth woman' and more everyday (but still awesome!)
Now supporting women planning to give birth at home, Victoria stepped into a new career as a freebirth mentor and created 'First Steps to Freebirth', (but she still likes to revisit her tattoo machines occasionally!)
Although this course talks about elements of physiological birth, this course isn't a 'how to' of birth and you won't find a detailed explanation of labour and birth - it's SO much more than that. There will be links to reliable sources of physiological birth information within the course for you to explore.
Honestly? The sooner the better! You could even choose to take this course if you're not yet pregnant but considering Freebirth in the future. The earlier you start to implement the tools and suggestions within this course, the greater the physical and mental benefits will be.
This course does discuss some of the most common 'what if' concerns around freebirth but doesn't provide medical advice or specifics about emergency scenarios. It would be impossible to discuss every single potential scenario that could happen. However, what this course will help to you do is be able to approach any situation confidently; with the necessary tools to understand what feels right for you and how you want to handle it.
You will have life-time access to the course once you're signed up, including any possible new material uploaded in the future. You will be able to access the modules straight after sign-up.
If this is the case: the course was MADE for you! If you're in the fence about freebirth, by completing this course you will be able to gain clarity and understand what feels right for you. You will also feel better prepared for pregnancy and birth no matter where you decide to birth your baby!
Yes absolutely! In fact we recommend that your partner takes the course with you. By learning alongside you, your partner will gain a deeper understanding of freebirth and why this is something you're passionate about or starting to consider.
You can contact Victoria at [email protected] for any additional questions you might have.
If you've decided to birth with medical support there is still a LOT you will gain from this course. Perhaps you feel you may still decide to Freebirth when the time comes and you want to feel ready for that option or you want to prepare for a Freebirth if you labour quickly before support can attend. This course still very much applies to you.

Cerrarna“I recently had a one to one with Victoria and can honestly say it was worth every single penny. I wanted to chat about homebirth vs free birth and how they differ. I came away feeling even more empowered than before and now know exactly what I need to do in order to continue to feel empowered. Knowledge is power and I've learned to research any fears that crop up, tackle them head on! I am more excited than ever for birth and would highly recommend tapping into Victoria's knowledge and passion!”
